This publication represents a novel and timely approach to the teaching of human anatomy, correlating anatomical detail with images obtained using the most up-to-date diagnostic imaging technique. The book has a dual purpose. First, it aims to meet the needs of medical students, illustrating the three-dimensional position of structures within the human body and complementing their studies of systematic (descriptive) and topographical anatomy. Second, it is intended as an aid to medical students students, medical graduates and medical practioners in evaluating diagnostic images. And of course, it is fascinating reading for anyone interested in the structural details of the human body.
